Commercial Utility Plans: Small Volume vs. Large Volume
When considering commercial utility plans, it is important to understand the two primary classifications of programs based on your energy usage: small volume commercial and large volume commercial. Large Volume Commercial: Businesses with higher energy consumption exceeding 250,000 kWh of electricity annually and surpassing 2,500 GJ of natural gas annually fall under the large volume commercial category. This classification typically encompasses diverse industries such as manufacturing, fabrication, agriculture, property management, oilfield technologies, hotels, and condominiums among other. Due to their elevated energy needs, tailored utility plans are designed to address the unique demands and usage patterns of large volume commercial customers.
